I have been in advertising, sales and marketing most of my career. During my career I have worked with b2b, retail, commercial, distribution and home centers. I am deeply into customer experience and understand the value of that relationship to future business.
I served as the company leader of the Anderson Design Council, which was made up of a rotating group of individuals from various brands in the home fashion industry. While heading this group, I met and exchanged ideas with some of the leading brands in the world including Hermès in Lyon, France.
Was GM of Brand Strategy for Armstrong World Industries, a $3.4 billion company where I worked directly with leadership on critical sales, marketing and eMarketing projects including re-launching the Armstrong Hardwood categories of Armstrong, Bruce, Hartco and Homerwood.
During my career, I have served on executive leadership teams for well over a decade, and have years of experience leading sales and marketing teams. My work at Shaw Hard Surfaces helped us win Partner of the Year from Home Depot.
At Edge Flooring, I was one of five founders who took an idea from concept to $75 Million in sales in one year. We were able to sell the concept to Lowe’s to roll out product to all 1,000 plus stores. During this time, our PR efforts generated more media impressions than any other product in Lowe’s history, and the company received the FIRST EVER Innovation of the Year Award from Lowe’s.
I have been quoted as an expert in USA Today
I participated in the Design Thinking Workshop at Stanford University’s acclaimed d.school where I was trained to apply Design Thinking on multiple real world challenges including design processes, innovation methodologies, visualization, rapid prototyping, team dynamics, storytelling and project leadership.
I am highly organized, resourceful, self-motivated and have excellent communication and presentation skills
Best of all I am creative and innovative and my ideas get results, and after all, wouldn’t that be an asset?
